Climate

Most of Brazil belongs to the tropical climate. Only the southern part of Brazil is regarded as subtropical. In the north the tropical climate brings consistent high temperature and a lot of rain along the coast. The Amazon has a hot and humid climate and middle temperature ranges from around 26-28 degrees with very slight variations. Annual rainfall amount ranges from around 2000mm.
In some places in Brazil the winter is extremely dry. There's virtually no rain in the northern part of Saó Francisco with roughly 250mm a year. Every so often it doesn't rain for years. This can have disastrous consequences for agriculture. The coastal zone will usually experience rain in all seasons.

The temperature is declining gradually from north to south, while the season climate variations increase. Rio de Janeiro have a stable middle temperature that vary from 21 ˚ C July to 26 ˚C in January. In contrast the middle temperature in the subtropical part of the country vary from 14 - 25 ˚ throughout the year.
