Activities



In Natal and the Ponta Negra there's a wide range of activities, in addition to swimming and tanning.

Diving/Snorkling, Surfing, Bodysurfing, Watersports, Beach volleyball and other sports. Maybe adventure traveling with a beach boogie sounds fun? Or you can take a stroll in a protected Atlantic park (Parque das Dunas)
Go to museums, concerts, or perhaps you can enjoy a soccer game!

Diving



Brazil is a great country to dive in.
Here you can dive with dolphins, turtles and fish in all colors and shapes! Explore great coral reefs that are teeming with life.

There are several good places to dive around Ponta Negra and Natal.
The largest and most well known are:

Maracajaú a small fishing village that is located 65 km north of Natal. This city is known for it's great great coral reef that is an astonishing 45 kilometers in diameter. This provides a huge area for explorations, where u can see a great number of fish and organisms.

Fernando de Noronha is the main island on a fantastic archipelago.
This group of islands is almost untouched by civilization. Here you can experience visibility of 30 + meters.
Here you'll find all kinds of fish: Dolphin, shark, tuna, barracuda and jewfisk of up to 30 kg!
In DOLPHIN'S BAY, which is protected by the Environment Dept, you can swim along with many of these fish. RECOMMENDED! --

Surfing



Natal and the surrounding areas have very good waves because it's completely open out towards the Atlantic.
Ponta Negra has great surf as well as places such as the Piper (Surf info)


Excursions on foot or on a beach boogie



Exploring on a beach boogie is fun!
You can go anywhere and the beach boogies are a great way to get where you want to go.
They're fast and a lot of fun.

Museums

Most museums are free or have a symbolic fee.
