About Ponta Negra

Ponta Negra
is the most famous city among tourists in Natal.
It's a small cozy village, a few km2 in size, about a 5-minutes drive from the city centre of Natal.
There's about 15-20 000 people who live there, many of them tourists with holiday homes.
Tourists from both Brazil and the rest of the world come here to experience the atmosphere of this beautiful city.
The house market prices here are somewhat more expensive here than elsewhere in Natal, but you'll be living in immediate vicinity to all amenities.

This idyllic village was formerly home to many fishermen and other hard-working Brazilians.
At the beginning of 1990 a number had tourists from both Brazil and abroad discovered the city.
Up to the present property development has been tremendous, but the city has retained its cozy feel, thanks to the county's restrictive building policies.
The 01.09-2005 it was determined a stop of all counstruction in Ponta Negra.
This will cause the prices to rise sky high in the near future.

Most of the action is at Ponta Negra's beautiful, 4 kilometers long beach.
On the south side of the beach is the famous Morro do Careca or Sandbakken as many Norwegians like to call it.
Sandbakken has become a landmark that's often featured in presentations and prospects from all over the region.
From "sandbakken", there is a long beach promenade with a lively and cozy atmosphere.
The beach promenade is packed with bars, restaurants, hotels and shops.

The refreshing wind from the sea means that the temperature retains a comfortable level.
If you go a bit further than the beach you'll find quieter spots with ocean view.
Ponta Negra is a clean city and both tourists and natives get along great, resulting in very low crime rites.
Natal has the loweset crime rates among all the states of Brazil.
